Altyn Asyr Bazaar

Altyn Asyr, or Täze Jygyldyk, is the largest market in Turkmenistan and the fifth-largest in Central Asia, situated on the outskirts of Ashgabat in the Choganly residential area. Designed to resemble a traditional Turkmen carpet ornament, the market spans 154 hectares and is marked by a tall clock tower at its center. It features 2,155 shops.
