About

The Magtymguly Pagy Monument, made of concrete and natural stone, was established in Magtymguly Square on Magtymguly Avenue in central Ashgabat in 1971. It is one of several statues that surround the Independence Monument and depicts individuals honored in the Ruhnama, a spiritual guide authored by President Saparmurat Niyazov.
