Pushkin Bust

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin's birth in 1899, local intellectuals in Ashgabat initiated the construction of a monument to the poet, funded by public donations. Contributions came from military personnel, local officials, and workers. When installed, it became the southernmost monument to Pushkin within the Russian Empire.
