The Wedding Palace is a civil registry building in Ashgabat, constructed by the Turkish company Polimeks in 2011 on behalf of the Turkmen government. This eleven-story structure covers over 38,000 square meters (410,000 sq ft) and features a three-tier design shaped like an eight-pointed star. Its upper stage, a cube resting on large columns, is topped by a 32-meter diameter globe representing Earth, featuring an image of Turkmenistan. Four entrances symbolize the cardinal directions. The interior is styled in traditional Turkmen fashion, with six marriage registration rooms, including three wedding halls—two accommodating 500 people and one for 1,000. The Golden Hall, "Shamchyrag," is located on the ninth floor within the globe. The palace also includes seven banquet rooms, 36 shops, two cafes, and various wedding service amenities, alongside administrative offices and a library on the third and fourth floors. A basement parking area accommodates 300 cars.
