Ashgabat Park is one of the oldest public parks in central Ashgabat, located between Kuliyev, Azadi streets, and Mahgymguly and Saparmurat Turkmenbashi avenues. Covering an area of 7 hectares, it was established in 1887 and originally named "The City Summer Garden." It became Officer Park in 1890, housing the building of the Nobility Assembly of the Russian Empire. During the Soviet era, it was known as Lenin Park, informally called First Park by locals. After Turkmenistan's independence, it was renamed Ashgabat Park and reopened in 2014 following renovations. The park features trees over 100 years old, various attractions, gazebos, and dinosaur sculptures. Visitors can enjoy a range of dining options, and there is an amphitheater for concerts of classical, folk, and pop music.Â
